Last week Press Restaurant had an amazing 10 course pig dinner using a mangalitsa pig from Rudd Farms. The dinner was paired with wines from across the Napa Valley. Highlights: Mini cuban sandwich with matchstick fries and the bacon ice cream! So good! We’re hoping they permanently add those items to the menu…

My favorite outfits are always the ones that combine old & new, and high & low. The vintage pieces in these photos are two of my favorites. Well I had never actually worn the lace shawl before but I was excited I finally did! The fur vest has become a staple in my closet this winter. Both were found at the Alameda flea market (first Sunday of every month and absolutely amazing). Vintage pieces add a story and the new pieces keep the look modern. With the Solage pool and palm trees as the backdrop these photos feel like they were taken in another time period.

Guys really have no idea what we go through to appear long and leggy (sorry to any male readers but you don’t). I remember my first pair of heels, I think it was for my winter chorus concert. From that day on I have had, as I’m sure many of you do, an unexplainable love of heels. Yes I love all shoes but heels have something special. They make you taller, feel a little sexier, and give you a sense of accomplishment if they are still on your feet by the end of the night. When I planned this outfit for our shoot a couple of weeks ago I didn’t expect to be writing about the risks associated with heels. But then it rained and we were forced inside and I somehow ended up on an iron ladder with five-inch heels on. Perfect. So as I climbed higher on the bars of death I prayed I that I wouldn’t fall and break my ankle and asked myself “Why am I doing this?” Well, because if the photo comes out it’s all worth it, right? Right. So hold on tight and go slow.
