Where did you grow up, and tell us a little about your journey to becoming such an amazing designer?  All in life its destiny and I had a dream and I am very passionate and I just do what I love everyday, takes some discipline.

I know that India has a special place in your collections, what is it about India that inspires you?  Yes everything in India. It’s inspiring from people, architecture, colors, textures, the culture, their history. It’s a fascinating place endless list.

What are shops you always check out when you are in Paris…any hidden gems people must know about?  I love my friends store HOD it’s a must stop, love going to Merci to get linens for my bed.


If you weren’t in the jewelry business what would you be doing?  Probably styling even tough I would have loved to be a lawyer.

What is a beauty trick you learned from your mom or grandmother that you can share with us? My grandmother is strong and always put together and elegant and my mom has always had great taste.

What items do you always carry in your purse that you can’t live without and people would be surprised you have them?  The coconut lotion Skin Trip and my sandalwood oil.

If you could only keep one piece out of all your collections which one would it be? ( I think I know which one it is…the amazing large gold cuff with raw diamonds??!) Yes exactly I wear it every day I love it so much.

Do you drink wine, and if so what are some of your favorite bottles?  I love red wine ( we sent her a bottle of Samantha’s Cabernet from Rudd Oakville Estate) 


What songs are you listening to these days on your ipod when you are being creative? I like Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, walking on a dream


Do you have any tattoos? Yes a sun, the sun my eternal lover

I have been a HUGE fan of Sara’s for years and we finally connected via email a few months ago and have been working together on pieces as well as this great interview! She is an amazing person and so inspiring with her work. I am planning a visit to her showroom next month so expect more photos!
