Last week we finally made it to The Corner Store in San Francisco for a great dinner with friends. The restaurant is located on a corner where a few different neighborhoods meet. It is the perfect spot for a casual dinner with friends. The menu offers classic dishes with a twist, and the drinks are delicious! I highly recommend the Four Leaf Clover.

This past weekend Sam and I headed to L.A. again and although we definitely have a routine now we tried some amazing new places. We had dinner with our favorite people at Hinoki & The Bird in this amazing tucked away industrial space. Hinoki is a type of cypress tree and chef David Myers incorporates it into many of the dishes so the whole restaurant has that amazing scent. Try the lobster roll and the honey mochi for dessert. Sunday we explored a new area and had breakfast at The Sycamore Kitchen and then grabbed a coffee for the road at Graffiti Sublime Coffee. Our flight ended up being delayed so we could have stayed longer!

Hotel Zetta, hotels, San Francisco, stay, travel, vacation, Viceroy
This week Sam and I had a chance to tour the newly opened Hotel Zetta in San Francisco right near Union Square. The theme of the hotel is “work hard, play hard” and the design really showcases that. It is a great balance of comfort with quirky design elements and then the most up to date technology geared towards bringing in the tech savvy San Francisco local. The art and design elements all tell a story of environmental responsibility and sustainable practices as well, a theme you will find throughout the hotel. With the opening of the bar and food service the lobby and game room area will be a great place to grab drinks and appetizers with friends after work. The upstairs game room adds playfulness to the space and I’m sure their enormous Plinko board will be a big hit. The rooms are spacious and sleek, again incorporating the most current technology into the room’s amenities. Overall the hotel is a fun and creative space that will cater to a younger generation very well, whether you are visiting San Francisco or just grabbing a drink and playing a game of Plinko.
